People are excited about generative AI, eager to apply it in many areas of work and life, highlighting a growing interest in the technology.
For example, 80% of organizations have increased their investment in generative AI since 2023, and 20% have maintained their investment level, according to the second edition of the Harnessing the value of generative AI report from Capgemini Research Institute.
The report also found that 24% of organizations have integrated generative AI into some or most of their locations or functions — compared to 6% just 12 months ago.
Based on a global survey of 1,100 executives at organizations with more than $1 billion in revenue across 14 countries and 11 industries and sectors, the research report examines the growth of generative AI across sectors. It also delves into the transformative potential of the technology, specifically from the perspective of organizations – including their plans for AI agents, supportive tools, and more.
